Lizeka gave Khosi the ideas that made her leave Zuko at the altar. This doesn’t make Nkosazana like Lizeka very much. MaMpinga doesn’t like that Nomasomi slept with Longamo, so she gives her a hard time about it while the plague keeps killing people.

Khosi Makes a Mess
When Khosi goes back to the 1800s, people have different feelings about it. Some people want her to leave, but others want her to stay. Melisizwe and MamThembu beg Khosi not to leave, but it doesn’t work. Longamo would like Khosi to die.

Moves and Manipulations
Melisizwe and MamThembu are suspicious of Longamo’s quick change of heart about Khosi when he wants her to come back to the kingdom to “help” those who have been affected by the plague. Zuko’s family apologizes for leaving him at the aisle, but a hurt Zuko tells them he wants everything he’s given to Khosi’s family back.

Melisizwe tells his mother that he is getting married to Khosi. MamThembu is very happy, but she warns Melisizwe to be smart about how he deals with this since Nomabali is still around.
Melisizwe asks Khosi to marry her while he is saving people from the plague. Nomabali, on the other hand, wants Longamo to get rid of Khosi.

Hopes and wishes
After saying yes to Melisizwe’s proposal, Khosi works up the courage to tell the Royal Inyanga about her problem with not being able to have children. However, he argues that Khosi is the one who is meant to have the next king or queen. Nomabali tells Khosi that she and Melisizwe got back together while Khosi was away. This hurts Khosi.

Bad luck
Melisizwe talks to Khosi about Nomabali, and Khosi says that it hurts her that he didn’t believe she would come back. Nomabali isn’t ready to give up on Melisizwe without a fight, so he joins forces with someone who wouldn’t seem to be a good match. Athi’s life is turned upside down when she finds out something big.

The country is being plagued by another nasty rash, which is making everyone worry. Longamo doesn’t want to marry Khosi like his mother wants him to. MamCwerha tries to make Khosi stay with her son because, officially, Longamo bought Khosi with lobola.

The Cows Are Moving
When MamCwerha demands that Khosi take a virginity test, MaMpinga has to tell MamCwerha that Khosi isn’t a virgin. Khosi is mad that he has to be with Longamo, so he chooses to give Longamo’s cows back. Meanwhile, Athi and Lerumo bond over a situation that could turn out to be very bad.

The blood
Everyone in the town is shocked, and they don’t know what this could mean. Is this one more sign from the dead? At the Reed Dance, Nomasomi’s reed breaks, which shows that she is not a virgin. Athi wants to end her pregnancy because Zuko and his father are putting so much stress on her.
