Dumisani Mbebe Scandals
First, let’s talk about the reasons he was let go from Generations. Dumisani allegedly would skip shootings without an acceptable justification. It is also claimed that Mbebe would allegedly show up to the set while intoxicated. He was slain by the soapie after receiving a few verbal warnings.
The actor has also been charged with slipping into the DMs of other women while still legally wed to his wife Mbali. This charge was made in response to a tweet that Dumisani posted showing him swimming and included the phrase “Good to see you swimming in a pool instead of swimming into our DMs for a change.” None of the parties involved provided any additional commentary or information.
‘Lithapo’ actress Lorraine Moropa also accused Mbebe of sexual harassment, claiming that Mbebe harassed her companion, who is also an actor, on work and that when the events were reported, the show’s producers’swept it under the brush’. The actor soon responded, saying that though he has been outspoken against sexual harassment, he could not absolutely deny having ever done the things that were said to constitute sexual harassment because the phrase is still not universally understood. He wrote in a tweet that he has since learned his lesson and that the show’s producers should be ashamed for not responding to the report, which may have allowed him to correct his faults.
Last but not least, Mbebe tweeted that Lunga Shabalala, who plays “Lindani” on the well-known South African soap opera “The River,” “doesn’t know how to act well,” and continued by asserting that bigwigs in the industry cast inexperienced social media personalities because production gets to pay them less than established actors. The actor clarified the situation in a statement to Move!, claiming that the remark wasn’t intended to be personal and that Lunga should take this as an opportunity to grow.
