Nunu Khumalo (born 15 April 1992) is an actor and model from South Africa. She received a prize in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry. She is in demand as an actress and model due to her attractive shape and dark skin. She has also given the South African cinema and television industries additional work as an actress.
Television fans recognize her from some of the parts she’s portrayed in the past every time they see her on screen. She was chosen to play Hlengiwe Twala in the Scandal television drama. The renowned actress was born on 15 April 1992 in Mpumalanga, South Africa, After her birth, she was named Nqobile Nunu Khumalo. Two months after, she relocated with her family to Johannesburg. Her parents raised her in the new location and tried to provide for her basic needs.

She attended the St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria. After her secondary school education, she joined the Midrand Graduate Institute. Nunu enrolled at the Midrand Graduate Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.

The actress rose to fame after portraying the lead part of Riri, a community health worker. She performed the part in season 12 of the SABC1 youth drama series Soul City, which aired in 2014.
She also appeared frequently in the SABC1 youth drama series Loxion Lyric as Nhlanhla, She made her television debut in season one of isiBaya, playing the guest role of Cindy. 2013 marked her debut as a character. Another cameo appearance in the SABC1 drama series Task Force and Mfolozi Street came the following year.
After playing the primary role of Riri, a community health worker, the actress gained notoriety. In the 2014 season 12 premiere of the SABC1 youth drama series Soul City, she played the role, She also commonly played Nhlanhla in the SABC1 youth drama series Loxion Lyric.
When Cindy appeared as a guest on isiBaya in season one, she made her acting debut on television. Her character debut occurred in 2013. The following year, she had another cameo in the SABC1 drama series Task Force and Mfolozi Street.
Early in 2015, she had a guest role on the third season of the drama series Rockville on Mzansi Magic. During its run, Connie and Shona Ferguson’s show Rockville was the most popular show on the channel.
She was one of the 12 finalists on SABC3’s reality competition show She’s the One’s first season, which ran from March to June 2015. She was also a guest on the SABC2 comedy show Gauteng Maboneng.
On September 9, 2015, it was announced that she had taken over Thishiwe Ziqubu’s role as Thandi in the second season of the SABC3 telenovela High Rollers. Ziqubu had left the show for “personal reasons” and Ziqubu had been playing Thandi.
Nunu joined the cast of the e.tv soap opera Scandal! on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the recurring role of Hlengiwe.
She also played Zandile in an episode of the e.tv soap opera Broken Vows. Her first appearance was in Season 1, Episode 77. (25 July, 2017).
In 2019, she was cast as Dudu in the second season of the supernatural drama series The Herd on Mzansi Magic.
