Siyabonga Shibe is a South African actress who has appeared in several dramas on SABC1. He is best known for his role as the lead actor of Bay of Plenty and Gaz’lam.
After matriculating, he studied drama in Natal Technicon.

He was born in Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) on February 23, 1979. Siyabonga is 46 in 2024. He celebrates his birthday every year on the 23rd of February.
Education
His teachers at Ganges Secondary school encouraged him to pursue acting. Shibe participated in many community plays while growing up in Umlazi.
Shibe studied Drama at Technikon Natal after completing high school. He and other students created a theatre troupe called Amagugu. He went to Johannesburg after completing his studies to pursue his dream to be an actor.
Career
He played the role of Mad Dog in 2006’s feature film The Trail.
He played the role of Mandla Nyawose, the SABC1 drama Bay of Plenty’s wheeling and dealing lifeguard.
In 2008, he played Thami in season two of the SABC1 drama A Place Called Home.
He joined the cast of e.tv’s Scandal, in 2010 as taxi driver Fila.
