Winnie Serite created “Skeem Saam”, a South African soap-opera. The show has been on SABC1 ever since 2011. Turfloop and Johannesburg are the settings for this show. Skeem saam was a huge hit, competing even with Generations. The show is aimed at young people, and produced by SABC Education. The show has run for 10 seasons. The SABC announced in January 2021 that production would cease on 1 March 2021 due to a significant drop in viewers.

Clement Maosa, a South African actor, is best known for playing Zamokuhle “Kwaito” Seakamela on the SABC1 drama Skeem Sam.
Clement hails from Polokwane in Limpopo. Clement attended school in the village of Ga-Rammutla. After matric, he studied at the University of Limpopo.
Clement wanted to be an actor when he was a child. He changed his mind after he graduated from high school. Clement grew up with his parents, sisters and younger brother in Bochum.
Clement’s highlights in his career include the month that he completed his articles as an attorney candidate, road shows and promotions at a Limpopo commercial radio station and being registered as a Model with Rezo-Lution and Media Management.
Skeem saam was the big break for him. I saw the Mzansi for sho notification on Facebook about the auditions. I traveled from Limpopo for the audition, and I was lucky to get the role.
