Thandiswa is a resident of Emnyameni, a small town in the mining industry. She is a hairdresser by day and an escort at night. Thandiswa is on a mission: to expose Caesar, Mthetho and Jaxon, three evil men. They are called The Unholy Triad.
Caesar is the brains behind this group. He is a wealthy businessman, but he is also willing do dirty things in order to achieve his goals. Mthatho, the police commissioner of the town, leads a double-life that will catch up to him. Jaxon is the flashy, but reckless, mayor of the city.
Thandiswa, a young escort, is also the mother of her intelligent teenage son Mpendulo Mseleku. She is determined to bring down The Unholy Trinity, and make the town better. You can find out what happens by watching the trailer of the show “Smoke & Mirrors”.

Ayanda Bandla as Thandiswa Mseleku
Ayanda bandla is an actress who plays Thandiswa in Smoke & Mirrors. She received her BA in Political Sciences from the University of Pretoria, with an emphasis on International Relations.
She has also appeared in shows like Vutha Single Galz Nqobile Lavish and Identity.
Zolisa Xaluva as Caesar
In Smoke & Mirrors, veteran actress Zoliza Xaluva portrays the character Caesar. Caesar is the bad guy of the show, and the leader The Unholy Trinity.

Angela Sithole as Nthabiseng

Siya is a South African musician and actor. In 2020, he began acting in SABC2’s Muvhango where he played Sechaba. He played Njabulo as well in The River. Siya also appeared in Lingashoni, Is’phidiselo and DiepCity, as Sikhumbuzo and Thapelo.

In Smoke & Mirrors, veteran actress Charmaine Mtinta portrays Nomeva. She portrays Nomeva, a respected and strong Sangoma matriarch. Charmaine Mtinta is a veteran of the South African film industry. She has worked in it for over twenty years. She is known for her roles in DiepCity as NoCorinthians, Valencia Twala’s How to Ruin Christmas and Noxolo’s Igazi.
Zinhle Mabena as Virginia
Zinhle Mabena is the actress who plays Virginia, Caesar’s wife in Smoke & Mirrors. She previously appeared in isiBaya and Mtunzi.com, as Busi Thwala.
JT Medupe is Leeroy
JT Medupe has been chosen to play the role of Leeroy on the TV show “Smoke & Mirrors.” He plays the hairstylist who falls in love with a wealthy and powerful man named Emnyameni.
